Travellers Checklist (External website**)
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) website provides a checklist for travellers, including advice on money, travel insurance, tickets and visas.
Passport (External website**)
You can now apply for a passport on-line. You can also find out information on renewing your passport, amending your passport and what to do if your passport is lost or stolen.
Travel Advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (External website**)
The FCO give travel advice on over 200 destinations. This includes advice and warnings on countries that the FCO consider unsafe to travel to, as well as country specific tips. You can also subscribe to receive e-mail alerts when travel advice changes. All of this can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website.
Health Advice (External website**)
The Department of Health publish useful information on staying healthy while travelling. You can find out what vaccinations are recommended before you travel, how to avoid health risks around the world, and if the worst happens, how to get treatment in various countries.
Disability Related Travel Advice (External website**)
The RADAR (Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation) website has excellent information for disabled travelers and families.
Holiday Care (External website**)
Holiday Care is a national charity who 'aim to help disabled and older people lead independent lives by enhancing their ability to travel'. On the Holiday Care website you can find details on accessible hotels and visitor attractions in the UK and abroad.
Driving Abroad (External website**)
The Automobile Association website has a Travel and Leisure section with travel and motoring advice. You can apply for an international driving permit, view a route planner, get European motoring advice and view overseas fuel prices.

The Home Office website contains tips on how to make your home secure while you are away.
