Economic Development

The Economic Development Unit encourages local business growth, promotes and attracts new and sustainable investment, and works to develop the economy and communities in the High Peak. We can provide information on business advice, support and grants, events and networking opportunities, sites and premises, regeneration initiatives and local information about the High Peak. Information and guidance for firms and organisations interested in supplying the council can be obtained from the Procurement Team.

Business Link East Midlands provides free services dedicated to helping new and established businesses develop and grow in the High Peak. Call 0845 058 6644 to speak to an adviser. Appointments can be made to meet advisers at Council Offices throughout the High Peak.

Business Regulations

The Council administers a range of regulatory business services, including business rates, planning, building control, licensing, health and safety, and environmental health. Information on the Disability Discrimination Act is also available.
