Who can use FastTrack?
This service is available to anyone planning the following:
- Expansion/relocation of existing major local firms
- Developments of at least 1 hectare
- New economic or commercial investment in high peak
- Housing schemes of at least 10 homes or 0.5 hectare
FastTrack ...in action
- All major developments will be channelled through the FastTrack Co-ordinator
- The Co-ordinator will liaise with all relevant authorities, within the Borough and County Councils, the Environment Agency, Police, Fire Brigade and Water companies
- A meeting with the developer can be organised to discuss proposals, as appropriate.
- Initial response will be given to the developer within three weeks of the enquiry
All advice and guidance will be provided by professional officers. Decisions on granting planning permission will be made by the Council's Development Control Committee.

When to use FastTrack
The focus of the service is pre-planning application advice and guidance. Call the FastTrack Coordinator as soon as you are thinking of buying or building on a site within the High Peak
As developer, you remain responsible for
- providing all surveys/appraisals
- producing all plans
- providing other data
in support of the planning application.
After Planning Permission
Choose the Council's in-house Building Control Service and they will take over co-ordination of the FastTrack process after planning permission is granted. Liaison with contacts within the authorities will continue, ensuring a speedy solution to any problems on site.
