Licensing Certain types of tourism related businesses those with public entertainment or those selling food or alcohol will need to be registered or licensed. Registration applies to most types of food business, including catering businesses run from home and mobile or temporary premises, such as stalls and vans. If you use two or more premises, you will need to register all of them.
Two organisations, Quality in Tourism and the AA grade accommodation with star ratings followed by a designator (such as hotel, guest house, campsite, etc), work to the same assessment criteria and properties should be visited annually and awarded an official grading. The nationally recognised ratings symbolise the level of quality, services and range of facilities that an establishment offers.

Extending the Season is a programme to further develop the tourist season in the Derbyshire Dales, High Peak, Staffordshire Moorlands and East Staffordshire. It includes a project to develop and promote local food products (and their supply chains); boost business for local food suppliers and tourism by increasing the availability and consumption of local food products at tourist destinations and encourage collaboration within the local food and drink sector. Peak District Foods encourages Peak District chefs to use local produce through the Peak District Cuisine branding to display on their menus and publications, to let customers know that they are proud to use local produce. Any pub, hotel, restaurant or B&B in the Peak District can take part in the project and apply for branding for dishes on their menu as long as the main ingredients are grown or locally produced in the Peak District.
Peak District Environmental Quality Mark is a certification mark, led by the Peak District National Park Authority for businesses that actively support the best environmental practices. To qualify for the Environmental Quality Mark, businesses must achieve high standards of care for the environment in all aspects of management, including conservation, use of locally grown and made products and services, efficient use of energy and minimisation of waste. Great Peak District Fair The Great Peak District Fair is a combination of produce market, cultural activity, tourism promotion and trade fair at the geographical centre of the Peak District, which takes place annually in October at Pavilion Gardens.
