High Peak Borough Council spends about £10 million per year on goods and services. On this page are useful information and guidance about Council contracts and how to do business with the Council. If you require any further information, please contact the Procurement Team on 0845 129 77 77 or 01298 28400 or email customer-services@highpeak.gov.uk.
The Council has produced this guide to assist suppliers and contractors, who wish to supply the Council with goods, materials, services or works. This document explains how to bid for Council work, outlines the rules that the Council must follow, and alerts companies to opportunities to supply the Council.
Potential suppliers have the opportunity to apply for registration on our supplier database. This provides an internal search facility to enable the Council to locate suitable suppliers for provision of goods and/or services that may be required, from those suppliers that have been approved on the system.
The registration process involves submission of a brief online form, followed by completion of a more detailed supplier evaluation questionnaire, with supporting documentation.
If your registration is successful, then you will be required to ensure your details are kept updated and you may also receive quotation requests via the system. Please note that if your registration is accepted, there is no guarantee that any business will be generated.
The Council obtains quotation requests (RFQs) and places contracts for a wide range of goods and services. Some of these contracts will be for one-off requirements, while others will be for recurring contracts.
Details of all RFQs and contracts required by the Council will be advertised on the Source Derbyshire website, (External website**) together with details of how to submit an offer or tender.

A major FREE trade event is being delivered by High Peak Borough Council and High Peak Community Housing, in partnership with Business Link East Midlands and part financed by the Rural Action Zone Delivery Pathfinder to promote trade between Peak District businesses.
