Ferneydale Grassland 10 people responded to our consultation by returning the slip on the leaflet or by emailing us, and a further 40 people attended our public exhibition of proposals. No objections were received about having the site designated as a Local Nature Reserve and, overall, the response was very positive.

The Council is proceeding to declare Ferneydale Grassland a Local Nature Reserve:

Hadfield Play Areas Online Survey We conducted a survey of the Hadfield play areas, including Bankswood, Brosscroft and Newshaw Lane
Hadfield Skate Park An on-line consultation was undertaken with local residents in November regarding the proposed location of the skatepark. The results showed that Newshaw Lane was the preferred site and this is supported by local ward members. Further consultation with the local community will be undertaken in the near future.
Joint Affordable Housing DPD The DPD is set to be withdrawn, with the responses from the Issues and Options paper now due to feed into the development of the Core Strategy

Play Strategy for the High Peak  
Street Trading Public Notice  
Whitfield Recreation Area Extensive consultation with the local community of Whitfield, including on line consultation, was undertaken to establish the communities views on the installation of a ballcourt on Whitfield Recreation Area. The results showed that there was overwhelming support for a facility of this type and this was supported by local ward members. The Pride of Whitfield community group, with the support of a number of agencies, are continuing to raise funds towards the cost of this.
Woods Mills Area Action Plan This document has been withdrawn. We intend to pursue the Area Action Plan as an Interim Planning Statement, for which the information obtained so far will feed into.
