Comprehensive Area Assessment

High Peak Borough Council organisational assessment 2009

Comprehensive Area Assessment (External website**), or CAA, is a new way of assessing local public services in England. It examines how well councils are working together with other public bodies to meet the needs of the people they serve.

Assessments will be made publicly available every year and will provide an annual snapshot of quality of life in the area.

High Peak Borough Council have been awarded a score of 3 out of 4 against the Organisational Assessment under CAA. This looks at how well the Council is using its resources and managing performance.

Description of scores

  1. An organisation that does not meet minimum requirements - Performs Poorly
  2. An organisation that meets only minimum requirements - Performs Adequately
  3. An organisation that exceeds minimum requirements - Performs Well
  4. An organisation that significantly exceeds minimum requirements - Performs Excellently
