Community Involvement

Throughout the High Peak the Council works in partnership with many community groups to help develop and improve High Peak’s parks and other open spaces.

Friend's groups have been established and although each group has its own emphasis, all strive to promote and improve their parks.

All types of volunteers are needed and valued and volunteer opportunities within High Peak’s greenspaces are varied. Group members use their life skills and knowledge to help improve their local greenspaces. This includes activities such as organising fun days, completing funding applications, talking to park users about park aspirations, organising or attending planting days. So if you can spare any amount of time and would like to join one of these Friends groups, new members are most welcome.
