Manor Park Bowling Club was set up in 1930. In 2007, the Club took over self management from the council. We realise that to survive, we have to introduce new blood into our sport, so several members undertook training as referees and instructors. We now have five qualified instructors and seven referees.
With the help of Glossop Sports Forum, we are engaging with local schools to introduce Crown Green bowling into schools. Our sport in not physically demanding and is suitable for 10-year-olds or 90-year-olds to compete fairly.
The club has seven teams, competing in various leagues in Tameside, Stockport, North Derbyshire and Longdendale.
Everyone is welcome - so come along and try it. Coaching is free and equipment will be provided during coaching. For more information, contact:
