Charlesworth & Chisworth Cricket club is located at Bankfield, Charlesworth (behind the recreation playing fields), and was founded in 1861.
There are two senior sides that play matches on Saturdays from April to September in the Derbyshire & Cheshire Cricket League. There are junior sides for under 11s, under 13’s and under 16’s with qualified cricket coaches to develop their abilities. The under 13's and under 16's play midweek evenings and the under 11's play Sunday mornings. There is also an over 40's social side.
Senior practise nights are held at the ground on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm from April to September. Junior practice nights are on Friday’s at 6.30pm.
In 2000 we built two artificial surface practice nets with a Sport England Lottery Grant.
In 2008 we built a completely new pavilion and re-laid the outfield, giving us facilities to match any in the area.
In 2010 we obtained CLUBMARK accreditation.
New senior and junior members are always welcome.
