There are a number of grant schemes that are available to coaches and athletes:
The Derbyshire Talented Athlete Fund (external website**) is a new bursary scheme, set up to support Derbyshire’s emerging sports stars. The county’s top performers can receive grant aid of up to £300 towards their sports development. This could be used to help provide equipment, travel costs or facility hire, and aims to support athletes who cannot access other funding. There is a selection criteria for the scheme and athletes have to be nominated by either their sports governing body, or an adult representative.
For further details, please click on the Talented Athlete Fund logo on the right to visit section on the Derbyshire Sport website and read the latest information available.

In order to be considered for a grant coaches must be coaching in Derbyshire and fit into one of the catergories below:

Coaches will be able to apply for a maximum of 50 per cent of the total cost up to a maximum of £200.
The maximum grant that can be claimed per organisation per financial year (April - April) is £300 for Level 1 courses and £300 for Level 2. There is no limit per organisation for other coach education.
Priority will be given to coaches who meet the criteria above and who are from under represented groups in coaching: women, black and ethnic minorities, disabled people and unemployed.
The Coach Bursary Fund will only fund Coach Education taking place during the current round or in the near future.
We will not fund courses already completed.
Payment will usually be made after the course has been completed. Costs will be reimbursed upon the production of receipts.
