High Peak Borough Council offers a number of grant schemes that are available to sports, clubs and organisations:
The scholarship scheme aims to provide support to Volunteers who either live in, or volunteer in the High Peak, to enter into leadership for the first time, or to develop skills of existing leaders so they can broaden their skills, or progress up the coaching pathway.
The Sports Development Grants scheme aims to provide support to schools, clubs and voluntary organisations in the High Peak, to develop sport and recreation opportunities.
The funding can be used for equipment, training courses, coaching fees, facility hire, transport and other elements that contribute to the development of new opportunities for participation.
The maximum amount of funding available to any one application is £250.
The Derbyshire Talented Athlete Fund (external website**) is a new bursary scheme, set up to support Derbyshire’s emerging sports stars. The county’s top performers can receive grant aid of up to £300 towards their sports development. This could be used to help provide equipment, travel costs or facility hire, and aims to support athletes who cannot access other funding. There is a selection criteria for the scheme and athletes have to be nominated by either their sports governing body, or an adult representative.
