Rotary Club of Glossop

The Rotary Club of Glossop is an active club of 25 members. We hold an Annual Jog in October each year, and other activities throughout the year. Joggers from Glossop Rotary Club

We have recently raised more £8,000 from our 2007 Annual Jog, to be shared between Willow Wood Hospice and CLIC Sargent charities.

We meet every Wednesday evening at the Windy Harbour Hotel, in Glossop, at 7.30pm, for an enjoyable meal, usually followed by a talk from an interesting speaker.

Club members are mostly business and professional people, dedicated to Service above Self – the Rotary motto, and that’s what we look for in all potential new members – and the promotion of peace throughout the world by association, education and fellowship. The main characteristics of a Rotarian are honesty and integrity in their business and professional life.

The Rotary Club of Glossop was formed in 1938 and is a part of Rotary International. Rotary consists of people from all political persuasions and none; from all religious opinions and none; and from most, if not all, of the countries of the world. We meet together with a common bond of fellowship and good will.

The ladies of the Inner Wheel Club of Glossop are very active and give us tremendous support. They raise money for their own charities and hold regular events.

If this sounds interesting, then we will be pleased to see you.
