Works to protected trees, and trees within a Conservation Area

Many important trees are protected and you will need to make an application to us for works to fell or lop a tree that is protected, and works to trees within a Conservation Area. You need to give six weeks' notice if you wish to fell or lop a tree in a conservation area.

Please contact the Development Control team, Arboricultural Officer or Customer Services to confirm if a tree is protected.
