Energy

High Peak Borough Council hosts the Energy Efficiency Advice Centre. The aim of the centre is to provide free and impartial energy advice to the public of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. It is funded by the Energy Saving Trust and the 17 local authorities in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Climate Change Challenge

Climate change is the most critical challenge facing everyone today, but the little things we do can make a big difference, and together we can tackle it.

Carbon Footprint

The average UK household emits 10.22 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year. You can help reduce your households 'carbon footprint' by 20%.

Use the Carbon Calculator below to find out what your carbon footprint is and how you can make some simple changes to help tackle climate change. This process will give you an indication of how your personal use compares to the national average. The carbon calculator will also produce a personalised action plan to help you reduce your footprint.
