Between 2005/06 and 2008/09 we aimed to reduce our carbon footprint by 3% each year from 2,636 to 2,404 and we have exceeded this target by 77 tonnes.
High Peak Borough Council has signed up to the Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change following a decision made by the Executive. This commits signatories to prepare a plan to address the causes and effects of climate change and secure maximum benefits for their communities.
We are supporting a Derbyshire County Council initiative to develop a countywide partnership approach to address this issue.
