Fly Posting

Fly-posting, defaces the environment and detracts from the architecture and ambience the Authority wishes to portray. The council's policy is intended to reduce the fear of crime and maintain the appearance of the area.

Fly-posting will be removed from all publicly owned sites and locations over which the Council has control and some privately owned sites, if previous permission is given.

Incidences of illegal fly posting will be investigated by the councils enforcement officer who will issue fixed penalty notices to persons committing an offence under the Clean Neighbourhoods Act 2005. Permission may be granted to display temporary notices for some charitable events.
