The MOT scheme ensures consistent standards, and is monitored by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA), on behalf of the Secretary of State.
Cars need their first MOT when they are three years old, and you should receive a reminder letter from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
From then on, your car needs to be tested annually.
We also conduct emissions tests.
Up to 48 hours' notice needs to be given to book a test, but the garage can do it more quickly for you, if they have a spare time slot between appointments.
Emissions tests cost £5 plus VAT.
