High Peak Borough Council recycling centres are located in a variety of locations across the Borough, and will accept a variety of materials including paper, glass, cans and textiles.
We can now collect all household plastic bottles and plastic containers such as butter tubs, yogurt pots, food trays and drinks cups.

Besides the waste types listed above, a variety of other materials can be recycled or disposed of at your nearest Derbyshire County Council Household Waste Recycling Centre (External website**) at Melandra Road Transfer Station, in Brookfield, Glossop, or Waterswallows Industrial Park, Buxton.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre on Melandra Road, Glossop is currently closed for an indefinite period for vital repairs to a weak bridge on the access road which is owned by United Utilities.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre in Buxton is open and will accept all materials you usually take to Glossop.

The tip is open from 8.30am to 6pm daily. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Materials accepted include unwanted furniture, batteries, electrical appliances, fridges or freezers, carpets, cardboard, motor oil, bricks, soil and rubble, wood and chipboard.
