Property Services

The Property Services section is responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of the Council's property. This involves the management of land and buildings with a value in excess of £165 million throughout the High Peak area as well as a portfolio at Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

Estate management of public buildings

Estate management includes the repair, maintenance and management of our public buildings and the maintenance function is currently contracted out by means of a combined Property Management Agreement covering both Councils.

Premises to let or for sale

We have retail premises to let, including Winster Mews in Gamesley, Market Arcade in Glossop and Victoria Park Road in Fairfield, and a number of domestic garage plots in various locations.

We also manage the sale of surplus Council properties.

Asset management

We are responsible for the management of all Council assets and this includes maintaining our Asset Register of land and property owned by the Council, acquisitions, disposals and arranging leases, licences, wayleaves and easements for third party use of Council land.

Construction projects

Part of our remit is to design, procure and manage construction works for land and buildings owned by the Council. This includes capital and revenue schemes for other Council departments.

Procurement (tendering) of construction works is carried out in accordance with our Procurement Procedure Rules and tender opportunities are advertised via the procurement pages of this website.
