Community involvement

Volunteer opportunities within High Peak’s greenspaces are varied and  all types of volunteers are needed and valued. Group members use their life skills and knowledge to help improve their local greenspaces. This includes activities such as organising fun days and activities, completing funding applications and talking to park users about park aspirations.  So if you can spare any amount of time and would like to join one of these Friends groups, new members are most welcome.

The following Friends groups are working in the High Peak:

• The Friends of Pavilion Gardens, Buxton
• The Friends of Howard Park, Glossop
• The Friends of Manor Park, Glossop
• The Friends of the Memorial Park, Whaley Bridge
