Apply online
The council is able to accept your planning application online through the Planning Portal. This saves you not only time, but also money as you have reduced printing costs and postage.
On the Planning Portal you can:
- Apply for planning permission
- Create a site location plan (compulsory for all applications)
- Attach supporting documents (such as plans or photographs)
- Pay the application fee online

Please download the appropriate application form which are listed below and return to: Planning services, High Peak Borough Council, Buxton Town Hall, Market Place, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 6EL.
The information needed to make a valid application includes:
- A national list of mandatory information that must be submitted with every application
- Information provided on the standard application form
- Information as specified in our local list of requirements

Householder Applications - including extensions and outbuildings for a residential property
Householder Application for planning permission for most domestic works or an extension to a dwelling. This includes conservatories, outbuildings, garages and loft conversions.
