Tasty tucker for Glossop senior citizen

GLOSSOP pensioner and dedicated local shopper Ben Leech has been announced as the lucky winner of the Glossop Markets Prize Draw hamper, after participating in the High Peak Borough Council scheme to promote Glossop’s indoor and outdoor markets and shopping arcade.

Glossop shoppers were encouraged to complete a card with their contact details and submit it for the prize draw. Ben’s lucky card was one of over 450 entries received by the council.

The hamper full of food, wine and goodies worth around £100 was presented to Ben - a long time regular shopper and resident in Glossop - on Friday by council leader Caitlin Bisknell in Glossop Indoor Market.
