Buxton Pool is now closed for major refurbishment work.
Buxton Swimming Pool is now closed to allow major new refurbishment work as part of a two-stage investment programme to commence.
The first stage of the works which was focussed on improving the pool hall, changing rooms, general aesthetics alongside are still ongoing as we’ve had to do additional work to the structural fabric of the building.
It was our intention to re-open the pool towards the end of June, followed by the new Health & Fitness facility in November. However, we are now scheduled to open both new areas at the end of September 2010.
Throughout the closure we will ensure that regular updates on progress are issued via local press releases.
