Our Staff
- Our staff are easily identifiable by the uniforms they wear;
- Our staff are helpful and caring to ensure that your child has an enjoyable visit;
- The recommended ratio of staff to children will be upheld;
- All our staff have undergone police checks to ensure their suitability for working with children;
- Nappy changing facilities are available;
- The crèche is heated and ventilated to ensure good play conditions and safety;
- Parents will be contacted immediately if sufficient problems arise with a child;
- Parents using the crèche must remain in the building;
- We will maintain all toys and items of equipment. Faulty or dangerous items will be disposed of.
What we provide
- We will make available a range of play provisions, such as painting, drawing, collage, junk modelling, imaginative play, play dough, books, puzzles, etc;
- We will endeavour to meet the needs of all children;
- We will ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at all times;
- We will be pleased to welcome children of all ethnic origins.
Discipline
- Our staff will not use corporal punishment, even if a parent may give consent;
- Parents have overall responsibility for their child's behaviour at all times.
Health and Safety
- No children will be admitted if they are suffering from viral infections, conjunctivitis, diarrhoea and sickness;
- Fire drills will be carried out at regular intervals;
- Staff will be required to ask for certain information concerning your child (in accordance with the Children Act 1989, which is covered under the Data Protection Act 1986);
- Maximum length of stay is one hour and 45 minutes per day.
Food and Drink
- We are committed to providing healthy juices and snacks;
- The parent must provide a change of nappy.
