This community leisure centre is about 20 miles from Manchester and was built in 1979 to house a sports hall, two squash courts and a small weights facility.
One of the squash courts has been converted into a group exercise as part of the refurbishment of the centre which includes a new state of the art gym facility on the upper floor. A climbing wall was built in 1990, which attracts visitors and climbers from all over the country.

Facilities may be booked up to one week in advance. Bookings can be made by telephone from 9.00am and by person from 9.30 am on weekdays and from 10am at weekends.
Between 9.30am-10am weekdays only one booking will be permitted per telephone call.
If facilities are cancelled or not attended and subsequently not re-let then the full fee will be levied.
The leisure centre does not allow under 16 year old spectators without adequate adult supervision.
Smoking is not allowed in the Leisure Centre.
