The major problem facing the health and fitness industry is member retention and attrition. I.e. how long a member stays and how many members a facility loses during any given period.
One significant factor in increasing member retention is the number of visits made to a facility during the first 6 weeks of membership, which can be increased by providing additional support from staff to new users.
DC’s Kinetika Journey (470KB)
retention programme establishes a habit of exercise in the early days of membership. It is designed to encourage regular participation in exercise over this period and gets results for people quickly, safely and effectively. It consists of 5½ hour booked appointments with an instructor in the first month.
During these sessions the instructor will assess the member’s exercise goals, discuss their personal exercise programme and ensure the member has a thorough understanding of what they’re doing and why.
Getting started: Identifying exercise goals and objectives.
Personal programme: setting up a personal exercise programme and taking the member through it.
Motivation session: checking the exercise programme and refining programme if required.
Motivation session: ensuring the member is getting the most from their programme.
Review: measuring progress and planning for the future.
If results aren’t achieved then member gets their money back!
