Going Local
Help us spend £10,000 to improve your area
Going Local is a scheme that provides local communities with the resources to make improvements, locally, that will have an immediate impact on the area.
The Going Local scheme runs in conjunction with the Area Forums.
The four forum areas – Buxton, Central, Glossopdale and Hope Valley – have each been allocated £10,000 to spend on projects within their area. Projects will be implemented with a focus on Cleaner, Greener, Safer themes.
Many of the projects undertaken are also partly funded by other agencies or groups, and this enables the Going Local scheme to achieve the best value, with the money available.
This joint funding enables schemes, worth much more than the original £10,000, to be undertaken.
If you have a suggestion on how we can help to improve your area, please tell us here - we'd like to hear from you.
