Chapel-en-le-Frith Regeneration Partnership was first established in 1996 to help conserve the historic town centre and regenerate the town as "a thriving, prosperous, safe and attractive market town with jobs, homes and facilities for all".
The partnership’s work has included funding physical enhancements – often supported by Conservation grants – as well as initiatives to support the town’s residents and retailers.
Kings Arms Pedestrian walkway (Between Eccles Road and High Street) enhancements to make it more accessible for pedestrians as well as more visually appealing. Due to be completed December 2006.
Town End for pavement improvements, due to start in early November, will include replacing broken concrete slabs with traditional York stone, and a new sloped access to make shops accessible for disabled people.
