Community loyalty card

Date: 20/07/2006

Gamesley residents can sign up for a Gamesley Community Centre loyalty card which will enable them to take advantage of reduced prices, priority bookings and special offers at the centre throughout the year.

Gamesley Community Centre Partnership is issuing the cards, free of charge, to people who live in Gamesley on proof of residency. Signing up is easy - residents just call in at the centre and fill out the application form at reception.

The computer software for the card scheme, which costs £3300 is being funded by Gamesley Community Centre Partnership and the New Opportunities Fund along with a £550 donation from High Peak Community Housing.

Every time a cardholder spends money at Gamesley Community Centre, points will be added to their card. The points build up and can be used to offset costs against sessions, trips, holiday programmes and retail items such as trainers.

Lisa Jowitt, Secretary for Gamesley Community Centre Partnership, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to take advantage of some great offers at the Community Centre. The partnership is working hard to ensure that all people from the Gamesley estate have the opportunity to take part in some free activities that will benefit them. It's about bringing people from different backgrounds together to try new and exciting activities, make new friends and most importantly having lots of fun."
