Swimmers who buy their Aqua Card season tickets during August, which pay for a year's swimming at Glossop, Buxton and New MIlls pools will get a 15% discount. This means that adults will only pay £210 for their cards, and those over 60 will pay £127.50.
For less than £5.00 per week (£2.50 per week for those aged over 60) swimmers get unlimited swims for 12 months during: public swimming sessions, lane swim sessions, Early Bird swims, Ladies Swims and Active 4 Life Swims.
The added bonus of the Aqua Card is access to unlimited free use of the Peak Fitness Suite at Glossop and New Mills Leisure Centres (an induction session costing £20 is required before customers can use this facility).
Other benefits for Aqua Card holders include:
· 10% discount off many shop items including swimwear, goggles and other equipment at Glossop Pool and Glossop Leisure Centre;
· 10% discount off any swimming or inflatables party bookings at the pools; and
· points earned every time the card is used, which enable discounts on shop purchases, Sundome sessions or the next Aqua Card.
Councillor Andrew Bingham, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Community and Social Development, said: "The Aqua Card will save you money especially if you buy your card this August. The free use of the fitness suites and other discounts make it a very good deal."
