High Peak Borough Council has launched a new grants scheme for small local businesses seeking to expand within the High Peak.
Grant funding of up to two hundred pounds is available to assist established small High Peak businesses, with five or fewer employees, to pay for the expertise of professional and business services.
Grants can be used towards a range of diverse services such as marketing, conference or course costs, accountant or solicitors fees.
Councillor Tony Kemp, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Regeneration, said, "Small businesses are increasingly important to the local economy and so we want to assist their growth and expansion. Businesses using professional support services are far more likely to increase turnover and profitability. We want to help them to make use of such expertise in order to thrive."
The Professional and Business Services Grant scheme is accessible through Business Link East Midlands. Business Link provides free dedicated services to High Peak businesses covering a range of issues from raising funds, recruitment and staff training, to improving sales and industry best practice.
Businesses interested in this grant scheme, should telephone 0845 058 6644 and ask to make an appointment with a business advisor.
