High Peak Borough Council's offices at Chinley will be closed to the public on Monday 17 December.
United Utilities is carrying out work to its distribution network that will disrupt the electricity supply to the site. There is a possibility that there will be no heating or lighting for long periods of time, which raises health and safety issues.
The Chinley reception will be closed, but residents from the central area will be able to contact the Council by ringing Call High Peak on O845 129 77 77 or 01298 28400 (8am - 8pm), or emailing customer-services@highpeak.gov.uk.
Enquiries in person can be made at Buxton Town Hall or Glossop Municipal Buildings (open 9am - 4:30pm).
The Development Control Committee on Monday 17 December will now be held in the Glossop Room, Glossop Town Hall, starting at 5.30pm. The meeting room can be accessed via the green door to the right hand side of the market arcade. A lift is also available.
