Children in Padfield will have a delightful surprise when they see new equipment at the Temple Street play area, in Glossop.
High Peak Borough Council has recently installed a new multi-activity unit and springer, which cost £10,000.
The project is one of many being undertaken, in a partnership agreement between the borough council and Groundwork Derby and Derbyshire, who are managing an agreed programme of capital improvement schemes to parks and open spaces in the High Peak.
The new innovative play system has been designed and developed in response to the needs of children today. It looks modern so this will draw children to play. The design and function will surprise them and retain their interest by creating positive play experiences.
Councillor John Pritchard, High Peak Borough Council"s Executive Member for Community and Social Development, said: "Play is an integral part of a child"s development and the new equipment actively promotes this. We aim to help parents and children maintain a balance between social, physical and creative experiences through play."
