Anyone looking for Council accommodation must fill in a new registration form - and if they do this by Friday, February 16, they will be entered into a prize draw to win one of four £50 prizes.
High Peak Community Housing has sent a new form to all 3,500 High Peak residents on the old waiting list, but many have not been returned, and the details need to be entered into the new database, or they will not be able to apply for Council homes when the scheme goes live on 1 March.
"We need the forms back as soon as possible. If you haven"t sent your form back, you won"t be able to apply for a Council property, as the old waiting list will not be used after 28 February," said Mark Ford, Head of Operations at High Peak Community Housing.
"We have staff ready and waiting to ensure your details get onto the system - everyone on the database by Friday, February 16, will be entered into a prize draw for four prizes of £50 in shopping vouchers - so get yours back today!"
High Peak Community Housing is making it as easy as possible for people to join the new list - you can go online at www.home-options.org and fill in a form, or send in a paper version.
Anyone who has lost their form can get another by going into the Reception areas, or calling 0845 129 8075 and requesting another copy. Anyone having difficulty completing the form can get help by calling 0845 129 8075.
Information sessions on the new scheme will be held at:
From Thursday, March 1, 2007, under the new scheme, vacant Council properties will be advertised at Council and housing offices, libraries, residents' associations and Connexions offices.
Anyone interested may 'bid' for the property online, by phone, text message or by post. But only those on the database will be eligible " so getting on the database is a must.
