How £10,000 will be spent for the Cleaner, Greener, Safer initiative, will be announced at the next Buxton Area Forum on Wednesday 4 July at 7pm.

This is on the agenda, alongside the town"s hot topics, tabled for discussion in the Paxton Suite, at the Pavilion Gardens, in Buxton.

The agenda items - selected by the public at the previous Buxton forum, in March - include parking, Designated Public Places Orders (DPPO) and youth activities, with updates given on the Buxton Crescent, Thermal Spa project and the Pavilion Gardens.

Local people, groups and business representatives are invited to the forum to find out more about these topics.

Light refreshments will be available from 6.45pm, and there will be time during the evening for people to ask specific questions about any of these subjects.

There will also be a hot topic surgery, providing a chance for people to talk more informally about their concerns to representatives of the organisations present at the forum.

Councillor Jonathan Davey, Chairman of the Buxton Area Forum, said: "The aim of the forum and the "hot topics" agenda is to give local people the chance to catch up on issues that are important to them. This is a great opportunity to get up to date - so do come along."

Area Forums provide people with the opportunity to get involved with local matters and voice their opinions on various issues.

Pavilion Gardens has wheelchair access and a hearing loop.
