Recycling Matters will top the agenda at the next Buxton Area Forum, in the Octagon Lounge at the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, on Thursday 15 March at 7pm.
Council officers will give a presentation about Binnovation - High Peak"s twin bin recycling and refuse collection service - which will be launched in the Buxton area this year, after the highly successful pilot scheme in Glossopdale.
Residents will be able to ask questions and comment on the enhanced services, which will revolutionise the way rubbish is dealt with in the south of the borough.
The agenda will include an update on leisure facilities in the Buxton area.
All local people, groups and businesses are invited to find out more about these topics and, during the evening, there will be time for people attending to ask specific questions about any of the topics.
Councillor Alan Wells, Chairman of Buxton Area Forum, said: "The council has made significant progress around recycling in the last year, with 600 tonnes of recyclables collected in January alone, using the Green Box scheme. The Binnovation scheme provides the means to recycle even more, and the forum will give people the opportunity to ask questions."
Pavilion Gardens has wheelchair access and a hearing loop.
Light refreshments will be available from 6.45pm.
