High Peak Borough Council is holding an open forum for prospective councillors considering standing for the borough and parish elections in May.
The open evening will be held on Tuesday 27 March 2007, at the Council Offices in Chinley - in Hayfield Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith - from 6.30pm to 9pm.
Brian Wood, from the Derbyshire Association of Local Councils, will give a talk about the role of a parish councillor, and current borough and parish councillors will be present to talk about their work and to answer questions.
Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival and a buffet will be available at about 8pm, when people attending the event can chat to councillors and officers.
