The focus is on different aspects of enforcement by the Council and our key partners, at the next Glossopdale Area Forum, at Bradbury Community House, on Thursday 22 March, from 7pm to 9pm.
The Borough Council"s responsibilities for enforcement will be described, while a police representative will explain the enforcement powers linked to community safety. There will also be a presentation on planning enforcement.
Representatives from different council services, including planning, community safety, environmental heath and environmental services will be available to discuss relevant issues with residents.
Officers from Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire Constabulary will attend to answer specific questions, while High Peak Community Housing will exhibit methods for improving neighbourhoods and hold a mini-surgery for tenants' queries.
There will also be a presentation on the latest proposals for Glossop Vision, and a short update on actions resulting from issues raised at previous forums.
Councillor Jacqui Wilkinson, Chairperson of Glossopdale Area Forum, said: "Our residents have every right to expect that they will be able to carry out their activities without the need for enforcement powers, but there are inevitably some situations when residents need to contact us - or our partners - to take action on their behalf. The March forum will help people to understand the powers that are available to the borough council, county council and the police to tackle a variety of different issues."
Light refreshments will be served from 6.45pm.
