Public consultation on Buxton Station Road plan

High Peak Borough Council is inviting the public to give their views on a Draft Design Framework document for the Station Road area of Buxton.

The document sets out a vision of Station Road as a vibrant and sustainable new quarter of Buxton. The document will act as a guide to future acceptable development of the area, which will:

The Council is keen to get public feedback on the Draft Design Framework document, from Thursday 15 March, until Thursday, 26 April 2007.

Local people will be able to view an exhibition at Buxton Town Hall from Monday 2 April, until Wednesday 11April, from 9am to 4.30pm.

The exhibition will be relocated to Spring Gardens Centre on Thursday 12 April, from 10am to 8pm.

The Draft Design Framework document can be read on our website's Planning pages on Local Development Framework, as well as at our Council offices and local public libraries during the consultation period.

Residents who wish to comment on the document can do so using our online form, or by completing printed forms available at the exhibition, at Council offices and public libraries.

When the document is finalised, it will form part of the Local Development Framework and a Supplementary Planning Document, which will be adopted in July 2007.
