The Council's Leisure Services team is offering swimmers an early Christmas present: between 1 and 23 December swimmers can buy their Aqua Cards for a 15% discount.
The discounted cards cost: £210 for adults; £127.50 for adults over 60; and for £100 junior swimmers.
For less than £5.00 per week (£2.50 per week for those aged over 60) adult Aqua Card holders get unlimited swims for 12 months during Public swimming, Lane swims, Early Bird swims, Ladies Swims and Active 4 Life Swims. Juniors pay less than £2 a week.
The Aqua Card doubles as a loyalty card so the more you swim, the more points you earn. The points can be redeemed against a range of goods and activities.
The added bonus of the Aqua Card is access to unlimited free use of the Peak Fitness Suite at Glossop and New Mills Leisure Centres (an induction session costing £20 is required before customers can use this facility).
Councillor Andrew Bingham, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Community and Social Development, said: "The discounted Aqua Card is the ideal gift from Santa. Think of the money that you and your family can save using their cards throughout next year. The free use of the Fitness Suite and the points you can earn make it a very good deal."
