Value for Money Services

High Peak Borough Council has low cost, high quality services according to the independent Audit Commission.

The amount High Peak Borough Council spends on services per resident is amongst the lowest 25% of all district councils; according to a recent value for money profile compiled by the Audit Commission, as part of their assessment of the council's use of resources.

Additionally, over 75% of the Council's services have improved over the last 3 years, and the Council has more services performing at the highest levels compared to most other councils.

Councillor Tony Ashton, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Performance Improvement, said: "These results, published by an independent body, show that the council provides excellent value for money and high performing services for local people."

He added: "The council has achieved this level of service with a history of below average council tax increases, significant efficiency savings and continued investment in services."
