Gamesley Community Centre Partnership and High Peak Borough Council will be hosting a first aid training course on Saturday 20 October between 9:30am and 4:30pm.
The course, which will be held at Gamesley Community Centre, meets the requirements of an appointed first aider, as described by the Health and Safety Advisory Code of Practice. Certificates are awarded upon completion.
The syllabus aims to teach delegates the basic aspects of dealing with emergencies, with an emphasis on those occurring in the workplace. Handling life-threatening situations is also covered. Those attending will also be taught to recognise and respond to some of the more common ailments that may be encountered in the workplace.
The course should be booked in advance and the fee, which is only £15.00, should be paid at that time.
