Gamesley Community Centre is hosting a volunteer walk-leader training course on Saturday 27 October.
The free course, which will start at 9.30 am and finish at 4.30 pm, is recognised by the British Heart Foundation's National Centre for Physical Activity and Health. It is also endorsed on the register of exercise professionals.
Those who attend and complete the course will receive a full training manual, and a formal Certificate of attendance. They will also be registered on the Walking the Way to Health (WHI) insurance, which means that they will be fully insured to lead walks with the general public.
