'Anti-Social Behaviour - The Facts'

Date: 18/10/2007

High Peak Community Safety Partnership has launched a new and improved anti-social behaviour booklet that explains its comprehensive approach to tackling anti-social behaviour.

The booklet, entitled 'Anti-Social Behaviour - The Facts,' lists the common types of anti-social behaviour and details how people can make sure that they are not cause of it.

There is information about what residents can do if they are the victims of ant-social behaviour, and how different agencies can help them. The roles of agency workers such as: community safety officers, anti-social behaviour officers, the police and Derby Mediation are described. The success of mediation in dealing with these problems is also highlighted.

The booklets are available at all High Peak Borough Council reception areas and the High Peak Community Housing offices in Fairfield, New Mills and Gamesley. Alternatively, the booklet is available online at www.highpeak.gov.uk on the Anti-Social Behaviour page of the Our Neighbourhood section.

Councillor Roger Wilkinson, Chair of the High Peak Community Safety Partnership, said: "This is a valuable guide if you feel that you are the victim of anti-social behaviour. There is concise information about what you can do for your self, and who you can contact for help and support. Please pick up a leaflet or have a read of it on-line."
