Volunteers and residents who helped High Peak Borough Council, New Mills Parish Council and Groundwork Derby with the 'New Mills Big Clean-Up' got together for a celebration party at New Mills Leisure Centre last Friday.
Activities included football, basketball, a bouncy castle and sumo outfits, followed by a free BBQ and refreshments.
The project to clean up New Mills was funded through the 'Big Derbyshire Clean-Up' and High Peak Borough Council's 'Going Local' initiative, which forms part of the Area Forum Programme covering the whole of the High Peak.

Further work to improve Torr Top Car Park and to introduce new visitor information is going to be carried out over the next few weeks.
Councillor David Lomax, Chairman of the Central Area Forum, said: "Well done to everyone who helped with the Big Clean-Up. We have certainly seen some improvements as a direct result of your work."
He added: "Although the initiative is drawing to a close, residents can still report problems and grot spots to the Clean Team on 0845 129 77 77.
The 'Big Derbyshire Clean-Up' is funded by Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire Constabulary and is a countywide initiative with activities such as community litter picks and graffiti removal operations.
