The members of New Mills Gymnastic Club are celebrating because they have achieved the British Gymnastics' Gym Mark.
The award recognises the value and commitment made by the club in developing a high quality and welcoming environment for the children doing gymnastics. To achieve the Gym Mark the club had to meet criteria relating to: coaching and training, management, health and safety and child protection issues.
The Gym Mark accreditation means that, parents, guardians and carers can be assured that the club:
Councillor Andrew Bingham, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Social and Community Development, said: "The Gym Mark award assures parents and carers that high levels of safety and leadership are guaranteed, and endorses the council's provision of constructive opportunities for young people. Congratulations to the New Mills Gymnastics Club."
New Mills Gymnastics Club is based at New Mills Leisure Centre. Classes are held on:

Sunday:9.00-10.30 am Gym Invite Class
10.45-11.45 am Gym Juniors
12.00-12.45 pm Gym Tots (4-7yrs)
12.45-1.30 pm Gym Tots (4-7yrs)
1.30-3.00pm Gym Seniors (10-16yrs)
