To raise fitness awareness, Neil and Jane from Peak Fitness at New Mills Leisure Centre are inviting anybody and everybody to enter the Sett Valley fun run on Sunday 23 September.
The race, which follows the Sett Valley Trail, will start from New Mills Leisure Centre at 10:30 am. Each participant can choose between a 5-mile return run to Hayfield or a 3-mile run to Birch Vale and back.
The participants will all receive medals and refreshments. However, there will be prizes awarded including: tickets for Go Ape, a bowling session, a massage, a manicure and some vouchers for a cycle shop.
To take part in the event, participants should register at new Mills Leisure Centre at 10 am on the day of the race. The entry fee is £2.00 for all participants (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult).
Councillor John Faulkner, Leader of High Peak Borough Council said: "What an energetic and rewarding way to spend a Sunday morning. This is a wonderful opportunity for all the family to have fun and keep fit."
