To celebrate National Customer Service Week, High Peak Borough Council will be hosting a series of events and activities between 1 and 7 October for both local residents and staff.
To mark the event, the Council's Customer Services team will be carrying out website demonstrations at the following Council receptions:
Local people are invited to call in between 10am and 3pm to see how to access information on the Council's website and complete online forms such as making a payment, applying for a Council job or to request a green recycling box.
"An increasing number of our services are accessible on-line 24 hours a day, and this is the ideal opportunity for people in the High Peak to find out exactly what's available," said Emily Thrane, Executive Member for Corporate Services.
She went on to say: "National Customer Services Week is an exciting opportunity for everyone to find out how to contact us and see what the Council does for the local community. I hear that there will also be the opportunity to try some of the team's home-made cakes as well so do please come and join us!"
Representatives from the Customer Services team will also be attending the Area Forum meetings at Glossopdale Community College on the evening of Wednesday 3 October and at Cromford Court, Whaley Bridge on the evening of Thursday 4 October to consult with residents about how and when they would like to contact the Council. The Area Forums start at 7.00 p.m. and the team will be available to speak with residents before the Forum commences.
During the week, the Customer Services team are going to be fundraising for the High Peak Diabetic Self-Help Group by selling their home-made cakes to their colleagues.
