Glossopdale Area Forum: regeneration to shape the future

Date: 25/09/2007

The next Glossopdale Area Forum, which is on Wednesday 3 October, will challenge residents to look at the future of Glossopdale from a planning perspective and discuss how the High Peak should develop and change up to the year 2026.

Council officers will give presentations about the Glossop Vision work in the town centre. There will also be an update on the issues raised at the last forum, which focussed on regenerating Hadfield, and other Going Local projects.

Residents will be able to raise any matters through an open question and answer session.

All local residents, groups and businesses are invited to come along to exchange views, find out about and ask questions on issues important to them.

Councillor George Wharmby, Chair of Glossopdale Area Forum, said: "The shape of Glossopdale has changed in recent years. A long-term view of the future needs of the area from a planning perspective will help us to meet residents requirements. So come along and give us your views."

The Forum will take place at Glossopdale Community College, Talbot Road, Glossop between

7 pm and 9 pm. Light refreshments will be available from 6:45 pm.
