Members of the High Peak business community are invited to a breakfast seminar on Thursday 4 October at Lomas and Company, Market Street, Glossop.
The Business Advice Team Ltd and High Peak Borough Council are hosting the free event, which will take place between 8 am and 10 am. It is being held to help local manufacturing, engineering and construction businesses find out about potential grant opportunities.
The seminar will look at a variety of incentives currently available to businesses. These include the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) grants for research and development and ways to maximise tax relief through research and development tax credits. Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber will be providing details of membership benefits.
The event also provides businesses with an opportunity to network with like-minded local businesses over a free bacon sandwich.
Councillor Tony Kemp, High Peak Borough Council's Executive Member for Regeneration, said: "A number of local businesses benefited from a similar event that took place in Buxton earlier this year. This is a splendid opportunity for High Peak's business community to network and find out about applying for funding."
To book a place at the breakfast seminar please contact Jodie Varney at the Business Advice Team on 0870 220 2403 or alternatively contact Lawrence Milner at High Peak Borough Council on 0845 129 77 77.
